Northeast Publishers Reps (NPR) was founded January 1st, 2009 with the purpose of representing publishers and manufacturers to the book trade in the northeastern United States (ME,NH,VT,MA,RI,CT,NY,NJ,PA,MD,DE, and Wash. D,C.). The company was formed from a merger of Sirak & Sirak Associates, a 28 year old Mid-Atlantic rep group, and billbooks & associates, a 36 year old New England rep group.

Jim Sirak Jim started his bookselling career in 1969 as a house sales rep for Western Publishing, followed by a stint as a sales rep for American Heritage. He then worked for a short time as a bookseller for the Doubleday Bookshops before he became sales manager for FSG for 10 years. He then started his own sales rep firm, Sirak & Sirak Associates, in 1981. Jim brings 40 years of bookselling experience to NPR.
Lisa Sirak Lisa worked as a bookseller at an independent bookstore in the Philadelphia area before meeting and marrying Jim Sirak in 1984. She then joined Jim as the other half of Sirak & Sirak Associates calling on accounts throughout the Mid Atlantic area.
Bill Palizzolo Bill has been in the book business since 1977. He learned the business by owning and operating two bookstores in Massachusetts for eight years before becoming a sales rep with Goldman & Associates in 1986. The company was renamed billbooks & associates in 1999. Bill was named the New England Booksellers Association sales rep of the year for 2005.
Frank Porter Frank started his bookselling career in 1976 and has since held just about every type of bookselling position there is, including store owner, publishing sales manager, bookseller and buyer at various independent bookshops, and sales rep with three independent publishers rep groups.
Ray Chateauneuf Ray spent 22 years with Pearson Technology as a field sales rep and National Accounts Manager. He was most recently a field sales rep for Simon and Schuster calling on accounts throughout New England.
